Task: To repair damaged side pod

Another time critical Radical Race Car repair, this time to a side pod. The o/s side pod had almost been ripped off and due to the weight of the unsupported oil cooler the bottom of the pod was almost totally ground away. The outer surface was also crazed and cracked, plus the skirt had suffered badly too. All the damaged glass was cut away, a basic shape was recreated using commonsense and a bit of guess work! The mounting plate were also recreated and glassed in at the correct points. It’s always useful to have as much of the damaged glass saved as possible as it helps to locate what went where.
