Subject - Firefly Dinghy

Task: Repair damage and bond the hull back to the deck.

This dinghy has had a couple of serious side impacts, in the same area. There was an attempted repair which had to be ground out, as was all the old deck/hull bonding goo!

After all the crazed and cracked glass was removed the extent of the impact damage was evident. A stiffened resin mix was put used to bong the hull and deck area back together, then the whole area was glassed back to shape, and gel coated along the gunwale. The stipplde deck finish was rolled just before the gel coat set and again my own mix of colours helped to match old and new.
