Task: Repairs to two different types of damage. The first is on an old boat where the elements have really got stuck in and the second on a new boat.
Boat 1 had been rammed into a jetty and was also hit along the gunwale, making for a rather tired looking Wayfarer, and the new boat “we think” been dropped on to it side, but being a club boat nobody owned up! The damaged glass was ground out and relayed with new, profiled and sprayed with new gel coat.
The owner was very pleased with the reapir.
"The boat is about 3 years old and had suffered damage to one of the side decks along most of its length. Mr Westgate visited the club and provided a very competitive quote that we accepted. The repair was completed very quickly even though the gelcoat that I provided turned out to be the wrong shade! He obtained the correct one. The completed repair looks very good (in fact its invisible) and the boat has been used in an Open Meeting that it won."
